What do a Moana costume and a child praying have to do with one another?

Well, let me explain, here is a phone conversation that I had with my grandson last week.

Jojo: It’s my birthday can Moana come to my birthday?

Me: “ummm” (as I’m processing a response.)

Jojo: You look like Moana. You can be Moana for my birthday (Said before I can respond).

Me: I don't have a costume.

Him: You can buy one from the Disney store (Said in a happy voice).

Me: That cost a lot of money. I don’t have that much money.

Jojo: You can pray. God can give a costume.

Me: Asked his mom a question on a different subject.

Jojo: We can pray right now?

Jojo: Are you going to pray?

Jojo: “Father God, In the name of Jesus, please give Grandmommy money for Moana. Amen. Ok bye (hangs up)

Now I ask you, What is a Grandmommy to do in this case? Well, of course, I got on Amazon and bought a Moana costume. Because I want to reinforce my grandson asking God for his hearts desires.

Are you teaching your kids, your grandkids, your students to pray? They pray with so much more faith than we do! Kids can have a full relationship with God. They can know Him. They can pray, worship, serve, minister to others. Let’s expect our kids to love God with everything in them and let’s encourage and reinforce any step they take to know Him.
